CHURCHILL AND SARSDEN VILLAGE  HALL

The Village Hall was built by the Squire in 1870, as a reading room for the use of villagers.

After the second world war it was converted into a village hall and the ownership was transferred to a Board of Trustees who must be members of the village community and have sole responsibility for maintaining and managing the Hall.  It is entirely self-financing although the Parish Council takes a lively interest and provides a small grant towards the upkeep of the hall.

It is used by many local organisations, including the Parish Council, the Women's Institute, the Churchill Events Committee, the Cricket Club, and the Parish Church.    Many functions are held here by people who live in the parish and others from outside the two villages.   It can provide seating for up to 70 people at functions such as birthday parties and wedding receptions.

The Hall has been thoroughly updated in line with Health and Safety requirements, the most recent improvements  including a toilet facility for the disabled and a new kitchen.

If you are interested in using our hall you will find that costs are very competitive.   For further details please contact :
